On the border between the provinces of Arezzo and Siena, between rolling hills and sun-kissed vineyards, we find the village of Lucignano. It is a village with very ancient origins which perfectly preserves its elliptical city walls, a true gem where you shouldn't miss a walk.

The experience we propose takes place a few minutes’ drive from the town, you will be able to immerse yourself in the true reality of a local winery.

Here, time slows and your senses awaken as you explore the world of wine, savour local delicacies and admire the rustic beauty of the landscape.

Duration of the visit: 2.30 hours

 

11.00 am - Arrival and welcome: Once you reach the cellar, you will be greeted by a family atmosphere. Starting the visit from the production cellar, you will learn about the winemaking process and some curiosities related to the company.

The Visit to the Vineyards: Afterwards the visit will move towards the vineyards, where the vines extend endlessly. The sun filters through the leaves, creating  lights effetcs and shadow. You will learn about the different varieties of vines grown, with Sangiovese leading the way, and the unique terroir that gives character to the wines.

The ancient cellar and the charm of the Leopoldina: You will have the opportunity to visit the ancient cellar dug into the tuff dating back to 1700 which is located on the ground floor of a suggestive Leopoldina villa which tells the story of the Tuscany of the Grand Duke Pietro Leopoldo and today makes it a precious corner and unique in this part of the region.
Precious barrels, aromas of fruit, spices and wood will envelop you.

Wine tasting and lunch: Sitting at the table, you will be served five samples of wine.

White “Sbizzìo“, Rosé “Marì”, Chianti “Il Sosso“, Chianti Riserva “Ricordo“, Supertuscan “Poggio Falcone“.
Accompanied by bruschetta with EVO oil produced on the farm, platters of local cured meats and cheeses and a typical Tuscan first course.
We will conclude with Vinsanto served with "cantuccini", classic traditional desserts.

At the end of lunch you can stop for a walk or some photos in the vineyard or in front of the splendid Leopoldina.
