Description
We find Podere Marcigliano nestled in the green Valdichiana, on a gentle hill at the gates of the town of Cortona, which is a must-visit destination. First with its Etruscan and then Roman reminiscences, the town enjoyed considerable prosperity during the medieval period and from 1411 followed the glorious fortunes of the Granducato di Toscana. Its cobbled alleys that wind their way up the hill, the ancient buildings, squares and churches, will make you fall in love with this small and industrious centre of the Valdichiana of Arezzo area, a memory you will always carry in your heart in the years to come, we are sure!
In Cortona or Camucia you will find shops, supermarkets, typical restaurants and every kind of service you need.
Podere Marcigliano consists of 2 newly built villas, which nevertheless reflect the architectural characteristics of the farmhouses of the past. In the first building there are 3 apartments (Torreone, Tufa and the first floor owner’s apartment), in the second there are 2 units (Corito and Rugapiana).
Each apartment has a large green area, a beautiful swimming pool (size 7x14 m, depth 1.50 m - open from 11 May to 30 September), a barbecue, a laundry room in common use and children's games, and its own private area equipped with a furnished gazebo for your meals in the open air.
You will find yourself living your stay in contact with nature but still close to the major centres of Tuscany and Umbria. Its convenient location, quiet but not isolated, makes Podere Marcigliano the ideal place to spend a relaxing holiday while not being far from the major communication routes that will allow you to easily visit, even on day trips, cities of art and small charming villages, little known jewels of the Central Italian countryside.
Podere Marcigliano is also the ideal structure for off-season stays, during the winter and Christmas period, when the town of Cortona is transformed with the thousands of lights of the characteristic Christmas markets and Santa' House.
Interior description
Ground floor apartment composed of living-dining room with kitchen corner, bathroom with shower, twin bedroom with French window overlooking the garden, double bedroom. From the living room going down some steps we find a sitting room with double sofa bed and bathroom with shower. Gazebo furnished with table and chairs to eat outside.

NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE:
Breakage deposit Euro 150 per apartment (payable in cash on your arrival and held by the owner for the duration of your stay). During their stay, should travellers cause any damage to the property, they will be liable for the associated costs.
Electric car charging on demand on payment.
Heating Euro 5 per m3 per apartment (if used).
Pets are welcome on payment of Euro 5 each per day.
Air conditioning Euro 4 per day per apartment (if used).
Swimming towels available on request on payment of Euro 3 each.
Tourist tax Euro 2,50 per person per day, applied for the first 4 days only. Children up to 12 years do not pay.
HOW TO BOOK
To make a reservation you can book directly on the site by selecting the dates in the calendar of the desired accommodation, or you can send an e-mail to info@eurocasa.com specifying the name of the villa and the period you want to book and we will send you our booking confirmation with all the details to proceed with the payment.
Methods of payment (by bank transfer or Credit card)
At the time of booking confirmation we will require the payment of a deposit of 20% the total amount of the booking.
The payment of the balance is required within 35 days before the beginning of the stay.
If the booking is made within 35 days prior to the start of the rental period, the amount must be paid in full upon confirmation of the booking.
Cancellation terms
-20% of the rental price for cancellations received up to 36 days before the rental.
-100% of the rental price for cancellations received between the 35th day and the day of commencement of the rental, and in case of No Show.

Nice big clean house with large swimming pool in the beautiful silent valley nearby Cortona. It was a nice stay for our family.
Definitely value for money
Stayed for a week in early August. We are a rather big family (6) but the unit was well-equiped and very spacious. The owners were extremely helpful and welcoming. The outdoor area was nice with a big swimming pool. We can only recommend the place - it is definitely value for money.
Great location to explore Tuscany/Umbria
We have visited Podere marcigliano twice now. The accommodation has incredible views and is easy to get to by road.It is easy to get to Siena, Perugia, Arezzo and lake transimeno as well as Cortona. It is about a 2 hour drive from Pisa airport. There is a supermarket in camucia and few small shops by the hospital. The property is on the ground floor and is part of a house with 3 apartments. On the ground floor there are 2 bedrooms, lounge/ kitchen and bathroom and there is a third twin bedroom, lounge/dining area and second bathroom in the basement which will be lovely and cool in the summer.The children love the large grounds, play area and pool. I definitely would recommend it to familys. The owners are very nice and live in a house next door but they do not speak English. The property would benefit from some written instructions e.g local shops, restaurant information, leaflets etc.The wifi is useful. The accommodation is about 10km from a massive outlet mall valdichiana which has a great play area for children as well as nice cafes and restaurants.I also recommend dealing with Eurocasa as they are really helpful and do there best to accommodate your requirements.

Sito molto tranquillo, ben tenuto. Spazi interni vivibili ed esterni senza promiscuità. La piscina é situata non in prossimità delle due case: ottima scelta. Proprietà molto ospitale.
