Description
Villa Cantagallo has the old-world charm of an ancient manor house. The spacious rooms, fireplaces, arches and exposed stonework combine well with the rustic furnishings chosen by the owners, and will take you back in time when these huge dwellings were the hub of farmhouses.
You will find Villa Cantagallo a short distance from the charming Etruscan town of Cortona (8 km), a destination of great artistic, historical and architectural interest that is definitely worth a visit. You will leave your heart in Cortona, in its paved alleys that climb up the hill, you will immerse yourself in an almost magical atmosphere, as if suspended in time.
Don't forget to dine in one of the countless restaurants and trattorias in the historic centre; our advice is definitely local red wine and a nice Tagliata of Chianina beef!
Until a few years ago the house was the heart of a large farm, then a recent and careful renovation, which the owners carried out with love and care to keep the old features of the villa unaltered, transformed it into a cosy holiday home.
Still next to the house you will find the wine cellar where the owner produces excellent wine (Vino DOC Cortona), which you can taste for free during your holiday.
All around the house you will have at your disposal a large green area equipped with gazebo, table and chairs for your outdoor dinners in company, barbecue, games for children and shaded parking spaces. At the back of the house is the large swimming pool (size 6x12 m, depth 1.20-1.40 m - open from 01st May to 30th September) for your exclusive use. The pool has a wide, completely fenced area that is also suitable to stay in safe company of your pet-friends.
Interior description
GROUND FLOOR: Kitchen with fireplace, large living/dining room with fireplace, armchairs and sofas, looking onto the swimming pool, double bedroom with an extra single bed, bathroom with shower.
FIRST FLOOR: with access via an internal staircase, there are four double bedrooms and two bathrooms with shower. It is possible to add another single bed to one of the bedrooms.

Arrival: in the afternoon between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - Departure: in the morning between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m.INCLUDED IN THE PRICE:

NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE:
Breakage deposit Euro 300 (payable in cash on your arrival and held by the owner for the duration of your stay). During their stay, should travellers cause any damage to the property, they will be liable for the associated costs.
It is not possible to recharge electric cars at the house, but it is necessary to go to charging stations located a few kilometres away.
Obligatory final cleaning Euro 150.
Heating Euro 1,50 per liter (if used).
Air conditioning Euro 0,80 per kwh (if used).
Pets are welcome on payment of Euro 5 each per day.
Tourist tax Euro 2,50 per person per day, applied for the first 4 days only. Children up to 12 years do not pay.
Wood for fireplace Euro 15 each 100 kg (if used).
Swimming towels available on request on payment of Euro 3 each.
HOW TO BOOK
To make a reservation you can book directly on the site by selecting the dates in the calendar of the desired accommodation, or you can send an e-mail to info@eurocasa.com specifying the name of the villa and the period you want to book and we will send you our booking confirmation with all the details to proceed with the payment.
Methods of payment (by bank transfer or Credit card)
At the time of booking confirmation we will require the payment of a deposit of 20% the total amount of the booking.
The payment of the balance is required within 35 days before the beginning of the stay.
If the booking is made within 35 days prior to the start of the rental period, the amount must be paid in full upon confirmation of the booking.
Cancellation terms
-20% of the rental price for cancellations received up to 36 days before the rental.
-100% of the rental price for cancellations received between the 35th day and the day of commencement of the rental, and in case of No Show.
Bellissima settimana
Tiziano e la sua famiglia sono stati degli Host estremamente disponibili e accoglienti. La piscina sempre controllata e in ordine (e con bambini piccoli era fondamentale), spazi grandi e ben tenuti, così come i consigli utili per la scelta di posti, gite o locali sono stati elementi importantissimi per determinare il successo di questa vacanza. A completamento del tutto la meravigliosa degustazione nella Fattoria Cantagallo, momento magico per grandi e piccini (che hanno fatto anche un laboratorio con la pasta) finendo con una super spaghettata di Pici al ragù. Grazie quindi per questa bellissima settimana.
2 semaines magnifiques
Nous avons passé 2 semaines magnifiques dans cette superbe maison. Tout était juste parfait et le propriétaire Tiziano et sa famille ont été vraiment adorable encore merci à eux.
Wir kommen gerne wieder!
Wir (2 Familien mit insgesamt 7 großen Kindern) hatten 2 wundervolle Wochen. Tiziano und seine Familie waren sehr nett und immer zur Stelle, wenn wir etwas gebraucht haben. Leider gab es sehr viele Moskitos, aber zum Glück hat das Hsus an den Fenstern Fliegengitter. Wir sind gut erholt und kommen gerne wieder!
The vibe of beautiful Tuscan countryside
Great place and hosts! At Villa Cantagallo you can feel the vibe of beautiful Tuscan countryside with a great view on Cortona and surrounding fields. The place offers a lot of privacy and is very peaceful. The house is spacious, comfortable and keeps cool despite the hot weather outside. The main area outside is nicely exposed to the sun with the big swimming pool to escape the heat. There is a small fence between the house and the pool which makes it more secure when traveling with small children (like we were). The host and his family are wonderful people and they really make you feel welcome!
A great piece of Italy around you
Alles geweldig! perfekte ruimte voor grotere groepen/families. Erg behulpzame en aardige host, kwam elke ochtend even langs om het zwembad schoon te maken en te vragen of we nog iets nodig hadden. We kregen zelfs een fles van hun eigen wijn en een schaal verse eieren van hun kippetjes. Enige om te beseffen is dat je echt eigen vervoer nodig hebt, het is ver van alles en lopen of openbaar vervoer is niet handig! Met de auto ben je overal snel en dan heb je een geweldig stukje Italie om je heen. Bedankt voor alles, wij hebben genoten! *************** Everything great! perfect space for larger groups/families. Very helpful and nice host, stopped by every morning to clean the pool and ask if we needed anything else. We even got a bottle of their own wine and a bowl of fresh eggs from their chickens. Only thing to realise is that you really need your own transport, it is far from everything and walking or public transport is not convenient! By car you get everywhere quickly and then you have a great piece of Italy around you. Thanks for everything, we enjoyed it!
It was super nice!
It was super nice! We were four adults and four children and we all felt very comfortable. The typically tuscan, very beautiful house would even have had room for another family. The host family was fantastic - always helpful and sympathetic. The large fenced swimming pool, not too deep, is perfect for children. A special highlight was the wine tasting at the host family's winery. Many thanks for that! We already miss it and can very well imagine further holidays in Villa Cantagallo! :)
Recommendable place
Jeg kan varmt anbefale dette dejlig sted. Det har været nogle super gode værter, hvor der er god kommunikation. Vi nød særligt ude område med den overdækket terrasse og pool området. ****************** I highly recommend this lovely place. The hosts are super good, good communication. We particularly enjoyed the outside area with the covered terrace and pool area.
Lovely villa
Wij verbleven hier eind mei en hebben ontzettend genoten van huis tuin zwembad en de gastvrijheid ongekend! Wijntour geweldig gevolgd met wijn proeverij (echte aanrader). Mooie dorpjes in omgeving. ***************** We stayed here at the end of May and really enjoyed the house, garden, swimming pool and the amazing hospitality! Great wine tour followed with wine tasting (highly recommended). Beautiful villages in the area.
