Vacation Villas with pool, Apartments and Holiday Homes in Cavriglia

The first human settlements in Cavriglia are very old as it is evidenced by some archaeological finds dating from both the Roman and the Etruscan periods. The slope of the Chianti Mountains occupied by the territory of Cavriglia was almost certainly crossed by a Roman road that linked the Valdarno with the Valley of the river Greve. This is evidenced especially by the presence, along the way, of some “Pievi” trail such as Petrolo, San Giovanni, San Pancrazio and Gaville.
Worth to visit in the oldest part of the village, also the Pieve of San Giovanni Battista with the adjacent Museum of Sacred Art. Just outside the village, we find the Monastery of Santa Maria and in the shadow of the old power station we point out the village, the dam and the church of Santa Barbara.
