Vacation Villas with pool, Apartments and Holiday Homes in Baschi

On the history of Baschi, which is located on the left bank of the Tiber, we know little or nothing in pre-Roman times. On the contrary, it is well documented during the Roman period when Baschi was the ancient city of "Veascium". In that age the area was densely populated and there are numerous archaeological finds to testify this.
The rural municipality was born and developed within a lordship which was one of the longest, and it was called, in fact, of the Baschi. Stalwart and impetuous knights, they made the feud thrive, conquering the domain of more than 60 castles in the area.
Of great interest is the church of San Niccolò which was built in the second half of the 16th century, it houses an altarpiece of Di Paolo. Very fascinating also the Convent of Sant'Angelo in Pantanelli, extremely charming in Franciscan memories: the convent was in fact built on a land donated to San Francesco. It seems that friar Francesco himself took part at its founding, in 1216.
