The tour that we propose usually is arranged in the morning and includes a visit to the vineyards, the oil mill and the pasta factory (weather permitting).
We start with a visit to the vineyards, a walk to the vegetable garden and an interesting tip while walking: you will be able to see a medieval source and some shelters used in the World War II, (their origins were even more old). We then go on with a walk in the fields where the Senatore Cappelli wheat is cultivated, (this is a precious and rare variety of ancient cereal) and a walk in the olive grove. Then we will visit the mill and finally… PASTA FACTORY! One of the Italian excellences! You can understand the evolution of pasta and the production method.
The owners will then delight you with an excellent LUNCH WITH WINE TASTING that includes:
Mixed appetizers (pecorino cheeses, cured meats, bruschetta, seasonal vegetables from vegetable garden, etc.);
Pasta (two types) dry pasta from the farm with homemade sauce with seasonal products; fresh pasta of the farm with homemade Tuscan ragù;
Homemade cake (tiramisu or tarts ...);
Three types of wines (Bianco IGT, Chianti DOCG and Super Tuscan IGT);

A little insight into Senatore Cappelli wheat:
Ancient grains are varieties of the past that have remained authentic and original (they have not undergone any modification by man to increase their yield). Among these, the best known and most widespread is the Canadian Kamut, which has now become a real registered brand.
Senatore Cappelli is one of the best known Italian varieties, a type of ancient wheat grown mainly in Southern Italy.
Its history begins in the early 1900s when the geneticist Nazareno Strampelli, starting from the North African grains, selected a very resistant rustic variety suitable for the soils of the south, a plant up to one meter and eighty high, which he decided to give the name of Senator Cappelli, who had begun the modernization of agriculture in Puglia and which had allowed him to experiment on his land.
The obtained wheat is the result of a careful natural selection in Foggia. It has been the most widespread crops in Southern Italy and in the Islands for decades. Cappelli wheat is considered the father of durum wheat, defined in the 1930s as the "chosen race", it is a rustic durum wheat that prefers poor and clayey soils.
It has excellent nutritional qualities and a high protein value; in Puglia these characteristics have earned it the nickname "meat of the poor".
But who was Nazareno Strampelli?
Nazareno Stampelli was born in Crispiero (Macerata) on May 29, 1866.
After his university studies at the agricultural faculty of Pisa, in 1900 he began to study hybridization on wheat species. As the first species he worked on the "Rieti", crossing it with the "Noè" wheat in order to obtain a plant very resistant to the diseases of the period.
His goal was to make cereal crops more resistant to disease, so as to transform into higher and more profitable agricultural productions for farmers.
