Description
Villa Il Palazzo is an old manor house on the doorstep of Cortona, whose origins are lost in the tradition of Tuscany's rural past; indeed, traces of the villa can already be found in ancient documents and maps dating back to the end of the 18th century. Its atmosphere, warm colours, stylish furnishings and original period antiques will transport you to another era, when the rural world was the living centre of society.
You will find the villa just a few kilometres from the beautiful Cortona, famous throughout the world for its works of art, its Etruscan memories and for its narrow stone streets and noble palaces. It is impossible not to spend at least one evening in one of its many fine restaurants. You won't forget “maccheroni al sugo” and sliced Chianina beef, we guarantee it! In Camucia you will find shops and supermarkets, and for small shopping trips, you can walk about 1 km to the small village of Fratta, where there are some services.
The villa is divided into six independent apartments, each with its own kitchenette, but at the same time has a large, cool dining room with lounge and kitchen in the basement where you can get together to cook and eat. You will also have at your disposal a nice garden completely fenced and well-kept, with corners designed for relaxing or enjoying an aperitif with friends, some covered parking spaces, a table tennis, mountain bikes and above all the beautiful swimming pool (size 6x12 m, depth 1,20-1,50 m - open from 01st May to 30th September).

Breakage deposit Euro 600 (payable in cash on your arrival and held by the owner for the duration of your stay). During their stay, should travellers cause any damage to the property, they will be liable for the associated costs.

HOW TO BOOK
To make a reservation you can book directly on the site by selecting the dates in the calendar of the desired accommodation, or you can send an e-mail to info@eurocasa.com specifying the name of the villa and the period you want to book and we will send you our booking confirmation with all the details to proceed with the payment.
Methods of payment (by bank transfer or Credit card)
At the time of booking confirmation we will require the payment of a deposit of 20% the total amount of the booking.
The payment of the balance is required within 35 days before the beginning of the stay.
If the booking is made within 35 days prior to the start of the rental period, the amount must be paid in full upon confirmation of the booking.
Cancellation terms
-20% of the rental price for cancellations received up to 36 days before the rental.
-100% of the rental price for cancellations received between the 35th day and the day of commencement of the rental, and in case of No Show.
A great experience
Fantastic accommodations and location! Just a 10 minute drive to the lovely town of Cortona. All seventeen family members had both privacy and shared larger spaces. Lorenzo, the owner was extremely helpful and accommodating. This was a great experience that I highly recommend.
A unique place
Our goal was to find a unique place to stay that had the real Italian feel vs a modern looking set up. It did not disappoint! The structure is pleasing to the eye with its brick lined walls and arches spread throughout the home. Everything we needed was provided for us. The kitchen/dining room is perfect for big parties to cook in and eat together. The family has extremely well kept grounds, keeping the pool clean as well as taking care of all of the beautiful flowers, succulents, and plants. While we were there it was hot during the day, so during down time it was nice to lounge by the pool. There were some volleyballs and a ping pong table set up, so those that didn’t want to swim had fun playing games. This villa is only about a 5 min drive to the train station and is also an easy drive up to the hilltop town Cortona. I’d recommend renting cars so it’s easy for a group to get to planned destinations on time. Since we had such a big group it was difficult to get taxis at certain times (usually early morning). If you’re going to the town close by or just want to venture out, there are plenty of bikes that we loved using! The whole reason we came to Italy was for a destination wedding. We wanted an intimate ceremony with our close friends and family. Once the family of the villa found out we wanted to wed in front of their home they were ecstatic! They let us use their beautiful plants, tables, chairs, and tablecloths to create what we were envisioning. Lorenzo even showed up to witness the ceremony and brought some unique surprises that really added to the magical evening. We are so grateful we met such a wonderful family that will be our forever friends and for staying at this villa. We all have the best memories when it comes to Villa Il Palazzo!
An unforgettable time
We were warmly greeted upon arrival and promptly given a tour of the property and home. The hosts went above and beyond to be accommodating of our needs, answered all questions, and provided an excellent overall service. The home and grounds were clean and well kept. Each room was welcoming and comfortable. We enjoyed our time outside/swimming, visiting the hill-top City Cortona for food and shopping, and preparing meals as a group in the large kitchen/dining room. We planned our trip as a destination wedding, and can’t tell enough about how fantastically the event went. Our host, Lorenzo, even surprised us with sparkling candles for our wedding cake, large paper hot-air balloon/lanterns, and even a special bottle of homemade Wine from his families private collection. The hosting family was warm, genuine, timely, professional, and an all-around joy to work with. We can not recommend them or Villa Il Palazzo more, 10 out of 10. We’ll go again and look forward to booking a return trip. You will not be dissatisfied. Thanks to Lorenzo and Family for an absolutely unforgettable time. We will enjoy the memories made while there for a lifetime! Ciao!
