Description
If you book a holiday at Casale Aiola you will find yourself immersed in a modern farmhouse and forestry farm, surrounded by greenery and set in the total tranquillity of the hills on the border between Tuscany and Umbria, among age-old woods and picturesque valleys. Casale Aiola is an old stone farmhouse divided into two parts. In one part of the house lives the owner who, with his discreet presence, will be a sure reference point for any need.
The farmhouse is located about 25 km from the beautiful Cortona, in Tuscany and about 15 km from the village of Trestina, in Umbria. You can do your shopping in either Cortona or Trestina, both of which have shops, supermarkets and services.
From here you have easy access to green Umbria, with its small villages nestled in the lush hills and bucolic landscapes of Lake Trasimeno, Perugia is only 60 km away.
Similarly, once you have reached Cortona, the splendid towns and cities of southern Tuscany will open up for you to discover. From Cortona to the farmhouse the road is perhaps a little long, even though it is all paved. But once you are there you will be rewarded with the absolute tranquillity of the place.
In our opinion Casale Aiola is definitely suitable for groups of families with children. The large green space around the house is perfect for the little ones to run and play in the middle of nature. Also available, in front of the house, is a children's swimming pool (size m. 4x8 - depth 0.60 m., table tennis, table football, children's games, a bowling green andfive-a-side football field.
For adults and children there is a large private swimming pool (size 9x16 m. -depth 1,20 m. completely fenced - open from 01st May to 30th September) with bathroom with shower and a small gazebo with fridge to cool down on hot summer days and the tennis court.
On one side of the house you will find two large pergolas furnished with table, chairs and barbecue, where you can organise family dinners and barbecues “al fresco”.

HOW TO BOOK
To make a reservation you can book directly on the site by selecting the dates in the calendar of the desired accommodation, or you can send an e-mail to info@eurocasa.com specifying the name of the villa and the period you want to book and we will send you our booking confirmation with all the details to proceed with the payment.
Methods of payment (by bank transfer or Credit card)
At the time of booking confirmation we will require the payment of a deposit of 20% the total amount of the booking.
The payment of the balance is required within 35 days before the beginning of the stay.
If the booking is made within 35 days prior to the start of the rental period, the amount must be paid in full upon confirmation of the booking.
Cancellation terms
-20% of the rental price for cancellations received up to 36 days before the rental.
-100% of the rental price for cancellations received between the 35th day and the day of commencement of the rental, and in case of No Show.
Great deal
Great deal for what was offered. We stayed there with a lot of children from 1-6 y and never ran out of opportunities to find something to do. Very remote so it’s not easy to make trips but you can easily spend a whole week on the property and enjoy pools, sports and calmness. Kitchen a little bit low on cutlery and bowls, otherwise a great place to stay. Thank you!
A wonderful week
Had a wonderful week with a large family group there. Well suited for people who are looking for an authentic cultural experience, not overly luxurious stay. Recommending the estate-made olive oil and wines!
Great house & beautifull place
We rented the house for 12 days - 8 adults, 7 children from 1 to 9 years old - The agency did a great job and answered all questions raised - House : great, lots of place, different appartments, allowing a good allocation of the rooms and so a better logistic for the different families - Rooms & beds : Ok - Temperature: we faced a very hot summer, so having difficulties keeping fresh air in the room. House windows being small, it's hard to create a strong aeration during night in period of high temperature, making sometime sleep hard. The place being in the montains, there is quite some air outside the house, which is very appreciable with high temperature - Facilities : swimming pool are very great. The small one is close by the house, very usefull for the children. The large one is very big and great for high number of people. Pool Security for young children is lacking => Need be very carreful. Tennis, babyfoot, ping-pong, ect ++++ (the systems for fitness are too old and can't be used). - Environnement : magic, great place in the middle of the montains. If you want a calm environnement, far from noise and in the middle of the nature, this is the place - Access : Not that easy. You need 45 min to leave the montain fropm 1 side, 20 minutes from the other, so better be organized for the food, drinks, ect. This impose planning and time in case you want to visit toscani and/or umbria - Noise : ok, we had sometime early morning noise, but when asking the owner (family working there) to be carrefull, it got much better
Fantastic and charming stone house with lots of space
We were nine adults and four children in Casale Aiola and we had a wonderful stay. The place is perfect for many people, and there are opportunities for many different activities. It is really beautiful and Anna (the hostess who only speaks Italian) is very helpful.
Petit paradis
Nous avons passé une superbe semaine entre amis dans ce magnifique domaine. Un véritable petit paradis pour les grands et les petits. Nous recommandons vivement cette location.
Relax e divertimento
Il casale si presenta subito come un luogo incantato, lontano dai rumori cittadini con una cornice di olivi e verde a dismisura. La signora Anna molto gentile ci ha accolti nei suoi appartamenti puliti comodi ed ordinati. Peccato non aver potuto usufruire delle piscine essendo inverno, ma il capanno con ping pong e biliardino é stato molto apprezzato dai ragazzi anche durante la pioggia. Molto belli i borghi raggiungibili con una mezz'ora di auto, San Sepolcro, città di castello e a 40 minuti cortona, bellissimo esempio di medioevo italiano. Unico neo i bagni, funzionali ma un po datati e alcune finestre in legno con chiusura poco idonea che fanno disperdere un po di calore. Soggiorno di 3 notti apprezzatissimo da tutto il gruppo (17 persone)da ripetere in stagione calda.
Gut
Die Abgeschiedenheit wäre besonders im Sommer für Erholungsuchende von Vorteil! Schönes Haus mit viel Platz! auch im Freien, der Pool wäre von Mai bis September zu benutzen. Wir haben es genossen. Leider sprechen die Wirtsleute weder Englisch noch Deutsch. Italienisch Wörterbuch nicht vergessen... Ansonsten kann man von dort aus Tagesausflüge machen. Siena ca. 2 Std. Montepulciano, Cortona, Arezzo, Perugia und Assisi ca 1 Std auch der Lago Trasimeno.
